Tuna Steak CWC Style.
Posted on 22/03/05 at 06:10 by Fuggah

Wotcha Fuckin Need:
2 Tuna steaks 200g 250g each (if youre a hungry / fat bastard get bigger ones.)
Soy Sauce (proper stuff, not that light shite)
Ginger (fresh, obviously, its not fucking gingerbreadmen were making here)
2 or 3 Chillies
2 dessert spoons of brown sugar
some white wine
Noodles (enough for 2 people cos thats what the recipes for)
Chicken Stock
Chopped scallion
Spinach

Wotcha Fuckin Do:
Rough chop the ginger and the chillies. Use LOTS. If youre thinking Oh I dont know if Ive put too much in. then you havent put enough in. Chop more and add it in and stop being such a pussy. After chopping the chillies do NOT touch; your eyes, nose, helmet, or missus.
NOW WASH YOUR FUCKING HANDS.
Put the tuna steaks into a dish and cover with the chillies, ginger, brown sugar (sugar is very important to this marinade dont be poncing about thinking Oh, how many calories are in this? just add the sugar and go for a fucking walk afterwards you malingering tart), soy sauce (use lots, like I keep fucking telling you) and white wine. If the steaks are not completely covered in the liquid then add some more wine or water. Leave in fridge for at least an hour to soak up them delicious juices.

The rest of this recipe takes about 8 minutes, so get the music on and glass of wine-for-the-chef poured BEFORE you start.

Remove tuna from marinade leaving most of the bits of chillies and ginger behind and dress in sesame oil. I KNOW it wasnt in the list of ingredients you should have it in your cupboard anyway. Amateur!
Put steaks on a very hot pan, if you have one of those griddle type pans then use that. If you have a Foreman grill then go to the pub and wank on, tediously about it to all your mates.
While steaks are cooking, cook the washed spinach. 2 minutes cooking in ONLY the water that stays on the leaves after washing. Put noodles in boiling chicken stock and simmer.
After 3 or 4 minutes turn the tuna steaks, remove spinach from heat, squeeze excess water from it and roughly chop it. Turn off heat under noodles but leave them to stand in hot stock.

Arrange spinach in centre of plate and dress with some more freshly chopped ginger. Place tuna steak atop spinach. Dress noodles with some soy sauce and the chopped scallion. Serve on the side.
